ENTRY REQUIREMENT: Applicants with SSCE O-level result or its equivalent are eligible to apply when they have:

• Minimum of FIVE O-level CREDITS in relevant science subjects including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
• Less than Five O level credits but must remedy the deficient credits before absorption into a degree program.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: The candidates who pass through the remedial programme, possess FIVE O-level credits including Mathematics and English, and obtain the Bayero University minimum UTME points shall seek admission into a science - based degree programme based on their UTME Scores. However, those without UTME requirement could be recommended for related part-time degree programmes in the School of Continuing Education (SCE) but requires regularization with JAMB.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMMES: Candidates may seek admission based on their UTME scores only into Level 100 in about forty five (45) science - based degree programmes in the College of Natural and Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Faculties of Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Computing, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Education, Engineering and School of Continuing Education (SCE).

NATURE OF THE REMEDIAL PROGRAMME: The programme is domiciled in the College of Natural and Pharmaceutical Sciences. It is for one Academic Session only. Students will register and be comprehensively taught Mathematics and any three of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Physics. The contents are designed to remedy O-level deficiencies and provide A- level foundations. Optional English Language Proficiency and Computer Mastery courses will be available at affordable additional charges.

VALIDITY OF THE RESULT: The result for the program shall be valid for two admission sessions for candidates who successfully passed the program but could not satisfy the O-level credits or UTME requirements.

COMMENCEMENT OF THE PROGRAMME : The programme for the 2025/2026 Session is to commence in May, 2026 and the candidates with the required Bayero University 2026 UTME scores shall be eligible for admission into a degree programme in the 2026/2027 Academic Session after undergone the University Screening Exercise.

APPLICATION FEE: Acceptance: Registration: Five thousand naira only (N5,000.00) for accessing and submitting the online application. Two thousand naira only (N2,000.00) for admitted candidates and $10 for Foreign Students. Sixty thousand naira only (N60,000.00) for admitted candidates. Foreign Students will be charged tuition fees of $100.
